Called to ask if anyone was available to do a lock re-key. The operator/customer service girl sounded like she didn't know what that meant, and said yes. I then asked to make sure there was a locksmith there, and she said that any associate in hardware could do it. I got there, and was told that not anyone could re-key the lock (which is what I thought) and the person who could wasn't there that day. 45 minutes of driving wasted. I only gave them a 2 because the woman in hardware was nice, sympathetic and helpful (she was stuck at a cash register when I called, otherwise she could have given me the correct info). The operator girl deserves a negative 10.
I've not had any luck getting a human being to answer the phone. Not the operator, nor any department. Ever. It's not acceptable.
I purchased a washer and dryer on September 13th. When I was in the store the associate told me they had the washing machine in stock but had to order the gas dryer. A few days later the dryer came in and i was called by the store to set up the delivery. I asked for wednesday and they said that was fine. The next day I get a call saying the dryer is in but the washing machine is not in until wednesday. So knowing I have an appointment that I moved to Thursday specifically because of the wednesday delivery date I'm getting a little pissed...it is at 1pm the only time I can get for my daughter....so we talk and I ask for an early morning delivery and the guy tells me he will put it on the paperwork. So now I am 10 days without a dryer and they call wednesday night and leave a message that they will deliver and hook up both items when.....1130 to 130....right when I asked them not to....if I am spending $2000 the customer service should be better than this. So i call back three times and cannot get through to the delivery company....it feels like they do this on purpose...finally try 4 I get put in the cue and they say they will call back..how about cancel my order and I will rent a truck and but it from someone else.
In my personal opinion I believe this is the worst Home Improvement Hardware type of store. I much prefer Home Depot. Lowe's makes it very hard to shop there and feel like you are secure with your purchase if for any reason you decide you don't want it anymore, the employees are rude and the overall experience is always horrible
Customer service from carpet installers is terrible. They have had my carpet in their inventory for over a week and never attempted to call me to schedule installation. After I contacted them they told me they had no availability until 2.5 weeks later! They only offered me one time frame during the morning for installation which means i have to either delay the install or take off from work. They totally take advantage of the fact that you have to pay in full prior to any service. I will never use this service again and I highly recommend going somewhere else for flooring needs.
